Tripoli, July 25, 2023 (Lana) The UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, said that he held yesterday in Benghazi with the Ambassadors of Italy, Egypt, France, Germany, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UK a constructive meeting with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
"We discussed the preparations for the Security Working Group meeting that will be held today in Benghazi. In addition, I stressed that security is essential to enabling inclusive elections, establishing legitimate institutions, and paving the way to sustainable stability in Libya." Bathily added.
