Benghazi, July 25, 2023 (Lana) The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ageela Saleh, reviewed with the UN Special Representative of the Secretary General, Abdoulaye Bathily, the political developments in Libya.
The meeting, which was held in Benghazi, discussed the roadmap for the next stage, the outputs of the 6+6 Electoral Laws Preparation Committee, and the formation of a unified government throughout the country, according to statements by the official Spokesman for the HoR, Abdullah Belihaq.
Saleh affirmed that the HoR will move forward to establish a new roadmap for the next stage and consider the outputs of the 6 + 6 committee in order to reach consensus on the electoral laws for holding presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
