Tripoli, July 18, 2023 (LANA) - The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, "Abdullah Batili," briefed the President of the Presidential Council, "Muhammad al-Manfi," on the results of his recent political consultations to find a consultative mechanism that could break the current stalemate, stressing a partnership the mission has with the Presidency Council as a neutral Libyan institution that works with all parties

Batili also briefed, during his meeting this morning in Tripoli, "Al-Manfi" on the latest arrangements with the international working group concerned with the security track before its meeting in Benghazi this week, reiterating his support for the work of the Presidency in forming the National Committee for Spending Management before convening its first meeting.

According to the media office of the Presidential Council, "Al-Manfi" confirmed to "Batili" the Presidency Council's readiness to support any real initiative that would lead to elections as soon as possible. .
