Al-Dabaiba discusses with Batili ways to advance the electoral process.

Tripoli, July 16, 2023 (LANA) - The Head of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid al-Dabiba," discussed today, Sunday, with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, "Abdullah Batili," the latest developments in the political process in the country, ways to advance the electoral process, and support the government's momentum in making it a success.

According to the Prime Minister's Media Office, the meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in Tripoli dealt with the difficulties facing the electoral process and the mechanisms to address them with all relevant parties.

The office quoted Al-Dabaiba as confirming to the UN envoy that the elections are the way to meet the aspirations of the Libyan people to end the transitional period and go directly to elections according to fair laws.

The meeting was attended by the team of the UN mission in Libya, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs "Adel Jumaa", Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs "Walid Al-Lafi", member of the communication team with the UN mission and advisor "Abdul Majeed Malika".
