Al-Dabaiba receives the Canadian Ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, July 12, 2023 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, received yesterday the Canadian Ambassador to Libya, Isabelle Savard.

The communication office of the PM stated that Al-Dabaiba welcomed the return of diplomatic work to the Canadian embassy, highlighting the need to work from Tripoli like most of the embassies that have resumed their work inside Libya, especially in light of the country's stability.

For her part, Savard affirmed that the embassy's team is working to have a permanent presence in Libya and to activate aspects of continuous cooperation between the two countries, stressing Canada's support for international efforts to accomplish this.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two countries in several areas, the most important of which are education and health, and the creation of cooperation partnerships in these areas.
