Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council affirm their refusal to interfere in Libya's internal affairs.
Pulbished on:Moscow, July 12, 2023 (Lana) The 6th ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council was concluded yesterday in Moscow by stressing the importance of preserving the interests of the Libyan people, achieving security, stability, and development in Libya, ensuring its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and stopping interference in its internal affairs.
The meeting also called in a statement for the exit of all foreign forces, fighters, and mercenaries from the country, stressing support for Bathily's effort to help the Libyan parties reach a political solution and hold elections, and welcoming the consensus reached by the 6+6 joint Committee that consists of the Parliament and the High Council of State regarding the laws regulating the election of the president of State and members of Parliament.
