Benghazi, July 10, 2023 (LANA) - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, discussed today, Monday, with the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Maharaj, developments in the political situation in Libya.
The Council stated on its Facebook page that the meeting dealt with developments in the political situation in Libya, especially the efforts made to hold presidential and parliamentary elections, foremost of which are the findings of the Joint Committee for the Preparation of Electoral Laws (6 + 6).
The two sides also discussed during the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Council's office in Benghazi, the formation of a unified government in the country whose primary mission is to hold elections according to the will of the Libyan people, according to the same source.
