Al-Manfi receives the British ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, July 09, 2023 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Al-Manfi", received today, Sunday, the UK Ambassador to Libya, "Caroline Hurndall".

The media office of the Presidential Council stated that the meeting dealt with the issue of the decision to form the Presidential Council to regulate public spending and enhance transparency, and the two files of national reconciliation and unification of the military establishment.

According to the office, the UK Ambassador to Libya praised the role played by the President of the Council to unify institutions and create a suitable political environment for holding free and fair elections in which all Libyans participate.

In turn, Al-Manfi expressed his appreciation for the role of the United Kingdom towards the Libyan issue, stressing the keenness of the Presidential Council to continue its tasks in uniting institutions, especially the military establishment, making the national reconciliation project a success, distributing the wealth of Libyans fairly, and achieving the desire of Libyans to reach the elections.
