With the participation of the Libyan Audit Bureau, The Board of External Auditors (COPIA) approves the final report of the COMESA audit.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, July 8, 2023 (Lana) The Board of External Auditors "COPIA", which includes "Libya, Eswatini, Kenya, Congo, and Uganda", approved in its meeting yesterday the final report of the audit of the COMESA accounts for the fiscal year 2022 at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa in the Zambian capital, Lusaka.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak, the Undersecretary of the Bureau, Alaa Al-Musallati, the Auditor General of Kenya, Nancy Katonga, the Auditor General of Eswatini, Timothy Maksubella, the Auditor General of Congo, Victor Bandamadi, and the Deputy Auditor General of Uganda, Edward Akol.
The membership of the Libyan Audit Bureau in the aforementioned committee comes for a period of three years, which began in 2020, and the COMESA organization includes 21 African countries in its membership, making it the largest trade and investment market in Africa.
