On American Independence Day, Washington reaffirms its commitment to promoting peace and stability in Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, July 5, 2023 (Lana) The U.S. Embassy said that its country reaffirms its commitment to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in Libya, adding, "We are a partner for Libyans who seek a better Libya."
The Embassy stated on its Facebook page on the occasion of American Independence Day on July 4, 1776, that Libya is a country that seeks to achieve unity and sovereignty, where the Libyan people demand an end to political division, access to better living conditions, and the right to choose their leaders.
This came less than 48 hours after Norland's statement on Libyan oil, through which he called on "the Libyan political actors to abandon threats of an oil shutdown that would be highly destructive to Libya's economy and hurt all Libyans," according to him.
