Minister of Economy discusses with the Spanish Director General of Foreign Trade the return of Spanish companies to Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 21, 2023 (Lana) The Acting Minister of Economy and Trade, Suhail Boushiha, discussed with the Director General of Foreign Trade and Investment in Spain, Alicia Varela, efforts to enhance trade exchange and the return of Spanish companies to work in Libya.
Boushiha, during the meeting held yesterday at the headquarters of the ministry's office in the presence of the Spanish Ambassador to Libya and a number of owners of Spanish companies, affirmed that Spanish companies are exempted from previous fees during their cessation of work in Libya as a step to encourage them to return to Libya.
Boushiha stressed the stability that Libya is witnessing under the Government of National Unity, which provides investment opportunities in all areas, especially construction, renewable energies, and infrastructure.
For her part, Varela expressed the desire of the Spanish companies to strengthen commercial relations with the private sector in Libya.
Boushiha urged the Spanish side to conclude a partnership with the local private sector and organize joint economic activities between the two countries, stressing the need to provide all facilities from Spain to Libyan businessmen wishing to invest in Spain.
