HCS: Referring the draft law electing the head of HCS and parliament to the HoR.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 13, 2023 (Lana) The High Council of State (HCS) announced that the Head of the (6 + 6) committee representing the council, Omar Abulifa, referred to the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aqila Saleh, a draft law for electing the head of state and a draft law for electing the National Assembly, to issue the two laws in accordance with the provisions of Article 30 of the Thirteenth Constitutional Amendment.
The Council published yesterday on its Facebook page publication that includes the text of referring the two projects to the HoR, which stipulates that "with reference to the thirteenth constitutional amendment, and Parliament Decision No. (6) of 2023 regarding assigning a committee to participate in the preparation of referendum and election draft laws, and the HCS's Decision No. (7) of 2023 regarding the formation of the aforementioned committee itself, and to the conclusion of the work of the joint committee of the two councils on 06/03/2023, in its meeting held in Bouznika, Morocco, in order to kindly issue them, in accordance with the provisions of Article (30) of the Thirteenth Constitutional Amendment.
