Libya chairs the meeting of the Committee on Social, Educational, and Cultural Affairs, Women, and Youth in the Arab Parliament.

Benghazi, June 11, 2023 (Lana) Member of the House of Representatives (HoR), Ahlam Al-Lafi, chaired the meeting of the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women, and Youth Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in the presence of the President of the Arab Parliament.

According to the spokesman of the HoR, Abdullah Belihaq, the committee's agenda included approving the minutes of the previous committee meeting, approving the draft Arab guiding law to combat domestic violence, and approving the report on the social situation in the Arab world for the past year.

During the meeting, the committee's memorandum regarding the opinion on the need to prepare an Arab guiding law to combat the phenomenon of bullying was also reviewed.

The meeting also reviewed the committee's agenda and approved the committee's activity report during the current session, in addition to discussing developments in arranging a seminar on "Protecting societal values in the Arab world and establishing a fund to support the Arabic language."
