Tripoli, June 10, 2023 (Lana) The Iraqi Foreign Ministry welcomed the announcement by the Libyan Joint Committee (6+6) of the agreement of its members on the laws regulating the presidential and parliamentary elections in the country.
In a statement yesterday, the ministry commended Morocco's role in making this dialogue a success and reaching consensus on the elections law.
The ministry said that these consensuses gave the political parties an opportunity to play a key role in the electoral process.
The Ministry expressed its hope that these consensuses would contribute to advancing the political settlement process in Libya in a way that serves the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people.
