Dutch Vice Foreign Minister reaffirms his country's position in support of peace and stability in Libya.

Tripoli 16 May 2023 (Lana) The Dutch Vice Foreign Minister, Paul Huijts, reaffirmed his country's position in support of peace and stability in Libya, and holding inclusive elections that express the will of the Libyan people.

This came during a reception by the Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, to Huijts, yesterday at the office of the Council of Ministers in Tripoli.

Al-Dabaiba commended the Libyan-Dutch bilateral relations, stressing the importance of facilitating the granting of visas for Libyan people, in accordance with the government's vision, which places service to citizens as a priority in various areas. He also stressed the importance of strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, motivating Dutch companies to partner with the Libyan private sector, and expanding its activity in the Libyan market.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Council of Ministers Affairs, Adel Jumaa, the Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid Al-Lafi, the Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Prime Ministry, Taher Al-Baour, the spokesperson for the government, Mohamed Hamouda, and the Dutch Ambassador to Libya, Dolf Hogewoning.
