Al-Dabaiba inaugurates the activities of the 49th session of the Tripoli International Fair.
Pulbished on:Tripoli 7 May 2023 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, inaugurated the 49th activities of the Tripoli International Fair, with local and international participation.
Al-Dabaiba confirmed that the development of the international fairs in Libya and other major events is a clear indication of the stability Libya has reached, which must be continued and supported.
Al-Dabaiba commended the efforts of the Ministry of Economy, its employees, and private sector companies, to advance the national economy, stressing that the government is working to develop the General Exhibitions Authority so that Libya can return to the international investment map.
"What we are living today, was not available during the years of war and division that left their painful effect on the Libyan people," Al-Dabaiba said.
"Tripoli Fair is one of the oldest fairs in Africa and the Arab region, as well as being the first Arab fair to join the membership of the International Association of Exhibitions, and it was also a founding member of the Arab Federation for Exhibitions and Conferences in 1995," he added.
The activities were attended by a number of Ministers of the GNU, undersecretaries, heads and directors of centers and agencies, ambassadors of countries and diplomatic missions accredited to Libya, and a group of companies and business owners participating in the fair.
It is noteworthy that the 49th session of the fair, organized by the General Authority for Exhibitions, will be held from May 7 to 13, with the participation of 150 local companies and 25 foreign companies from Tunisia, Algeria, Turkey, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Spain, in addition to the American Chamber of Commerce.
