U.S Embassy: we reaffirm our commitment to promoting the role of a free and independent press in Libya.

Tripoli 4 May 2023 (Lana) The USA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the role of a free and independent press in Libya and around the world.

This came on the Facebook of the Embassy on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day.

"Freedom of expression is a human right, enshrined in Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights." The Embassy said.
