The Libyan embassy in Sudan communicates with Libyans stranded in Khartoum
Pulbished on:Khartoum, April 25, 2023 (LANA) – The Libyan embassy in Sudan said that it had succeeded in communicating with two Libyan citizens who were stranded in the capital, Khartoum, and who could not be evacuated among the Libyan community.
Libya's ambassador to Sudan, "Fawzi Boumrez," said in a statement published by the embassy on its Facebook account that the embassy had succeeded in contacting citizens Hassan Buhya from the city of Ajdabiya and Saad Ahmed al-Ferjani from the city of Benghazi, who could not join the two evacuation convoys of nationals in the past two days, indicating that they were reassured, and are both in good condition.
The embassy indicated that this comes within the framework of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Libyan embassy's concern for the safety of Libyan citizens in all parts of Sudan, despite the embassy's suspension of its work and the closure of its headquarters in Khartoum as a result of the armed events taking place in Sudan.
