Tripoli 11 April 2023 (Lana) The UN Envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, revealed that the Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul-Hamid Al-Dabaiba, affirmed his support for the UN's efforts in the security track and hold free and fair elections this year in Libya.
"In my meeting today, Monday, with PM Abdul Hamid Dbeibah and Foreign Minister Najla Mangoush, I updated them on my visit to Sudan, Niger, and Chad to discuss the withdrawal of foreign fighters and mercenaries from Libyan territory." Bathily said in a tweet.
"I stressed that elections are a demand of the Libyan people, and all Libyan leaders should fulfill their commitments to hold them in 2023," Bathily added.
