A delegation from the HoR and Russian Foreign Ministry discuss relations between the two countries.

Tripoli, March 29, 2023 (Lana) The House of Representatives "HoR" and the Russian Foreign Minister stressed the need to continue enhancing the constructive national dialogue with the participation of all political forces in order to ensure Libya's unity and sovereignty.

This came during a meeting of a delegation from HoR headed by the second deputy speaker of the House, Abdul Hadi Al-Saghir, at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry, with the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, "Mikhail Bogdanov, where the meeting focused on exchanging views on the current situation in Libya.

The HoR said on its Facebook page that the meeting also discussed separately a number of issues related to the further development of Libyan-Russian relations, including international parliamentary contacts.

It is noteworthy that the HoR delegation, which is currently visiting Russia, headed by Al-Saghir, includes in its membership Jalal Al-Shuwaidi, Siddiq Moftah Hammouda, and ,Abdul Nasser Bashir bin Nafeh.

On the Russian side, the meeting was attended by the Russian President's envoy to Libya and the former and current ambassadors of Russia to Libya.
