British Embassy in Libya expresses its concerns about the report of the UN Fact-Finding Mission on Human Rights in Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli 29 March 2023 (Lana) The British Embassy in Libya affirmed its full support for the report of the UN’s Fact-Finding Mission on Human Rights in Libya.
The Embassy expressed in a tweet its deep concern over the findings in the latest report, including evidence of war crimes, crimes against humanity, and gross violations of basic human rights.
The Embassy stressed that transparency and accountability for human rights violations must be at the centre of Libyan transitional process, calling for the need to follow up on this report with concrete actions, including in the Human Rights Council.
The UN Independent Fact-Finding Mission in Libya expressed its deep concern about the deteriorating human rights situation in the country in its final report issued on Monday.
