Supreme Court accepts an appeal against the law establishing a constitutional court

Tripoli, March 5, 2023 (LANA) - The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court has accepted the appeal submitted regarding the creation of a constitutional court to be based in Benghazi, which was issued by the House of Representatives on December 6, 2022
The Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court held a session, Sunday, and considered the submitted appeal No. 70/4 and ruled that the appeal was accepted in form.
The House of Representatives had said that it issued the law to uphold freedoms and rights and the addition of a specialized judiciary to constitutional matters and to uphold justice.
