Addis Ababa, February 19, 2023 (LANA) – The deputy in the Presidential Council, “Abdullah Al-Lafi,” agreed with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, “Abi Ahmed,” to activate the Libyan-Ethiopian joint committee, and to discuss ways to return the Ethiopian embassy to work in the capital, Tripoli.

This came during their meeting today, Sunday, in Addis Ababa, on the sidelines of the African Union summit.

According to the Presidential Media Office, Al-Lafi praised Abi Ahmed's efforts to achieve peace in Ethiopia, the depth of Libyan-Ethiopian relations, and Libya's keenness to enhance cooperation and partnership with Ethiopia in many fields.

For his part, the Ethiopian Prime Minister expressed his country's readiness to support Libya in making the reconciliation project a success and addressing the political deadlock. .
