Al-Lafi and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia agree to activate the joint committee

Addis Ababa, February 19, 2023 (LANA) – Member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, and the Ethiopian Prime Minister agreed to activate the joint committee between the two countries, and ways to return the Ethiopian embassy to work from Tripoli.

              This came during Al-Lafi's meeting, Sunday, with Prime Minister of Ethiopia on the sidelines of the African Union summit in Addis Ababa.

  During the meeting, member of the Presidential Council praised Abe's efforts to achieve peace in Ethiopia and the depth of the joint relations between the two countries, and Libya's keen interest to enhance cooperation and partnership with Ethiopia in many fields. For his part, the Ethiopian Prime Minister expressed his country's readiness to support Libya in making the reconciliation project a success and addressing the political deadlock.
