Mauritanian President: The continuation of the Libyan crisis has catastrophic repercussions on the security and stability of neighboring countries and Africa in general.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, February 18, 2023 (LANA) - Mauritanian President "Mohamed Ould Cheikh Al-Ghazwani" expressed his concern about the dangers of the Libyan crisis and its catastrophic and negative repercussions on the security and stability of the Libyan people, its regional neighborhood and Africa in general.
In a speech he delivered during a meeting of the High-Level Committee on Libya, which was held , Friday, at the headquarters of the African Union in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, Al-Ghazwani stressed the need to find a final and lasting peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis with the participation of all Libyans, in a way that guarantees the unity and cohesion of the country, and guarantees the Libyan people, to live in peace in the confines of security and stability.
He stressed that any comprehensive and lasting solution cannot be imagined without the participation of the various components and spectra of the Libyan people and the auspices of the African Union, according to what was published by the Mauritanian News Agency.
The Mauritanian president renewed his country's keenness to continue cooperation with the UN mission within the framework of commitment to the path of the Libyan-Libyan solution, and his rejection of any external dictates to the Libyan brothers, or bypassing the Libyan institutions in accordance with the reference of the relevant agreements.
In this regard, Al-Ghazwani also praised the effective role played by the Congolese President, Denis Sassou Nguesso, head of the high-level committee on Libya.
