The House of Representatives expresses its condolences to the Syrian and Turkish peoples for the victims of the devastating earthquakes

Tripoli, February 8, 2023 (LANA) - The Libyan Parliament expressed its solidarity with the Syrian and Turkish peoples in the great calamity that befell them as a result of the devastating earthquakes that struck there, leaving thousands dead.

This came in a statement issued by the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, in which it expressed condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Committee called on the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to do its duty in following up the conditions of the Libyan community in Turkey at this difficult time, and to join international efforts and provide urgent assistance to the survivors to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the earthquake, especially in these difficult climatic conditions.
