Tripoli, January 12, 2023 (LANA) - The preparatory forum for the National Reconciliation Conference concluded today, Thursday, its work in Tripoli, in the presence of the Representative in the Presidential Council, "Abdullah Al-Lafi," the United Nations envoy to Libya, "Abdullah Batili," and the advisor for the national reconciliation file in the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Hassan Al-Labat." with the participation of representatives of all Libyan parties and components.
In his concluding speech, Al-Lafi praised the importance of the forum that brought together Libyans with their various components inside the country to discuss issues that contribute to laying the foundations for lasting peace in Libya, explaining that the factor of trust that prevailed in the dialogue sessions directly contributed to producing results that pave the way for holding the inclusive conference that will emerge, legislative, executive and constituent decisions, and a national charter emerges from it upon which all Libyans agree.
In turn - according to the Presidential Media Office - the United Nations envoy to Libya, Abdallah Batili, expressed his happiness at the successes that the Libyans had achieved during this forum, which brought together all the Libyan factions inside the country to come up with a Libyan solution to the Libyan crisis, stressing that the Libyans today have put the cart on the track in a step towards stability, and he praised the efforts of the Presidential Council and the efforts of Representative Abdullah Al-Lafi to accomplish this national mission.
For his part, National Reconciliation Adviser to the Presidential Council, "Mohammed Hassan Al-Labbad," congratulated the participants in the forum for the patriotic spirit they displayed to ensure its success. Inside Libya and under African sponsorship.
