The Presidential Council, the government, the central bank, and the accounting department discuss financial arrangements for the year 2023

Tripoli, January 11, 2023 (LANA) – Today, Wednesday, the Presidential Council met with the head of the government of national unity, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, and the head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak.

The meeting discussed the financial arrangements for the year 2023, the priorities of the third chapter on development for the year 2022, and the controls and treatments, to ensure their approval during the next stage.

The government of national unity said that the meeting was devoted to following up the measures taken for development projects for the year 2022, ensuring transparency of procedures, obtaining approval from the Audit Bureau, and fair distribution of projects.

The government added that the President of the Presidential Council said that this meeting comes due to the necessity of continuous monitoring of government spending in all parts of the state, and work to activate the development section as the most important section of the budget, provided that transparency and fair distribution are ensured.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ramadan Abu Janah, Designated Minister of Planning Muhammad Al-Zaidani, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya Mustafa Al-Manea, Director of the Contract Control Department at the Audit Bureau Khaled Hamza, and Director of the Department in the Sovereign Sector Reda Qarqab.
