Tunisian clinics are expelling Libyan patients under the pretext of non-payment of outstanding debts.
Pulbished on:Tunisia, January 05, 2023 (LANA) - The Tunisian clinics in Tunis, the capital, removed the Libyan patients they had and stopped their treatment under the pretext of not paying the debts owed to the clinics by the Libyan state.
Eyewitnesses of the Libyan patients told the Libyan News Agency, in telephone calls, that the administrations of these clinics removed them from the clinics four days ago, and dealt with them in a provocative manner without any regard for their difficult health conditions.
The patients pointed out that this sudden measure by the Tunisian clinics forced them, despite their difficult health and financial conditions, to resort to renting apartments and modest housing, most of which lack the most basic life possibilities, including heating, especially in this cold and winterly weather, in the hope of solving this problem and returning to complete their treatment.
The Libyan patients appealed to the Libyan authorities, led by the Ministry of Health, to intervene quickly to solve this problem and consider their suffering, especially since among them are patients with tumors, heart diseases, and strokes that require superior medical care.
