Al-Hwiej discusses with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy the obstacles facing the return of Indonesian companies to work in Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, December 28, 2022 (LANA) - The Minister of Economy and Trade, "Mohammed Al-Hwiej," discussed with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Libya, "Didi Ahmed," and his accompanying delegation, the difficulties and obstacles facing Indonesian companies in operating in the State of Libya, and ways to address them.
During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry's office in Tripoli, in the presence of the Director of the Foreign Trade and International Cooperation Department at the Ministry, the two sides discussed the mechanism of reviewing and activating the trade agreements concluded between the two countries, enhancing trade cooperation and exchanging expertise and experiences in areas of common interest, in addition to establishing joint fishing factories.
Al-Hwiej called on the Indonesian side to open the consulate in the city of Benghazi as soon as possible in order to contribute to facilitating the movement of business owners and the procedures of companies and investors from both countries.
He also invited the Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Indonesia to visit Libya within the framework of strengthening economic and trade cooperation and organizing joint activities that bring together business owners and companies in both countries.
The attendees reviewed the problems and obstacles facing Libyan business owners in the Republic of Indonesia and the work to facilitate movement, residence and financial procedures for companies and investors, in addition to the possibility of organizing an exhibition of Indonesian industries and products in the State of Libya and bilateral meetings between business owners to present investment opportunities in both countries.
