This came during his meeting today, Monday, at the Ministry's office in Tripoli, with a number of Tunisian business owners and companies, to learn about the problems and obstacles they face in Libya and ways to solve them.
Al-Hwiej stressed during the meeting that the General Federation of Chambers should organize meetings and meetings with the ministries and bodies concerned with the sectors of transportation, housing, labor, energy and electricity, in addition to the development fund that includes business owners from the two countries and prepare recommendations and proposals until they are presented in a meeting of the joint Libyan-Tunisian Higher Committee during the coming period headed by a prime minister. The meeting - which was attended by the directors of the Companies Department, the Ministry's Trademark Office and the commercial attache at the Tunisian embassy - discussed the mechanism for enhancing trade cooperation between the private sector in the two countries and facilitating the procedures for registering Tunisian companies and commercial agencies, and the importance of registering trademarks for Tunisian companies and commercial activities with the Ministry of Economy and Trade in the State of Qatar. The attendees stressed the need to start the executive program for the trade agreements concluded between the two countries to facilitate corporate transactions, movement and residence for business owners, the flow of goods and services through the ports, and work to move the wheel of investment in the sectors of energy, oil, housing and transportation.
The meeting also included the President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Libya, and the President of the Tunisian Federation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts.
