New equipment and spare parts for Ruwais power station in Western Mountain.

Tripoli, 21 December, 2022 (LANA) - The General Electricity Company has announced the arrival of more equipment and new spare parts for the Ruwais power station in the Western Mountain, supplied by the German company Siemens, to carry out long-term maintenance of the generation units at the station to back up the national grid.

Work is ongoing to complete the Abu Arqoub - Al Ruwais line project with a voltage of 400 kV after the arrival of shipments of insulators last week, the company explained on its website.

It also noted that the project is being implemented by the Sustainable Energy Company under the supervision of the General Administration for Transportation Projects, in cooperation with the Jaffara Electric Police Department (who carried out With great effort to facilitate the continuity of the workflow to serve the country and the honorable citizen.

 Work is also continuing - according to the company - to complete the Sarir Ajdabiya power transmission line project with a voltage of 400 kV, where the first phase of the tension tower to the Sarir station is being completed and the wires are being laid in the Gallo area with a length of 17 km after the completion of the pouring of the concrete foundations implemented by the Beach Oasis Company.

The company confirmed that its projects will contribute significantly to improving the performance of the electrical network, which comes within the framework of the continuous efforts by the company's management to improve the performance of the components of the power transmission network and enhance its efficiency.
