Tripoli, December 19, 2022 (LANA) - Today, Monday, the President of the Supreme Council of State, "Khaled Al-Mashri," discussed with the French Ambassador to Libya, "Mustafa Maharaj," ways to resolve the political impasse in Libya, especially with regard to the constitutional path.
Al-Mashri said during the meeting, which was held at the Council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, that the step of voting on the establishment of the Supreme Constitutional Court in violation has many negative effects that affect the unity of the country and the independence of the judiciary, according to what was published by the Council's media office on its official Facebook page.
He emphasized that the High Council of State seeks to reach a sound consensual constitutional base on which elections will be held, away from political disputes.
