Bathily stresses that Libyans are determined to make 2023 new dawn for the country

Tripoli, 18 December, 2022 (Lana) - The UN envoy to Libya, Abdullah Bathily, has called on candidates for the presidential elections from all over Libya to discuss among themselves and agree on a unified proposal to break the prevailing stalemate within a specific time limit.
This came during Bathily meeting, Saturday, with a group of political figures from different parts of Libya, who had previously submitted their candidacy papers for the presidential elections that were scheduled a year ago.
In a series of tweets posted on the mission's website, Bathily confirmed that he encouraged political figures to take into account the legal, constitutional and security aspects necessary to provide equal competitive opportunities and successful elections.
The UN envoy also stressed that the Libyans are determined to make the year 2023 the beginning of a new dawn for them and their country.
