Pashagha calls on Egypt, Turkey and Greece not to take unilateral steps on maritime border demarcation.

Tripoli, 15 December 2022 (Lana) The Prime Minister assigned by the House of Representatives Fathi Pashagha called on Egypt, Turkey and Greece on Wednesday not to take any unilateral steps regarding demarcation of maritime borders.
Pashagha said in a statement published by his Communication office on its SMS page that “unilateral steps in the issue of border demarcation will increase tension, and aggravate the situation in the Mediterranean region.”
Pashagha expressed his government's readiness to negotiate bilaterally with the three countries in order to demarcate the maritime borders in a way that serves the common and fair interests of all, within the agreed international laws. He expressed regret for the exploitation by some countries of the exceptional circumstances in Libya, in order to achieve their interests without taking into account Libyan interests.
