Tripoli, 11 December, 2022 (LANA) - The representative of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received, Sunday, the Algerian ambassador to Libya, Suleiman Chenine, to discuss the latest developments of the political situation, and the role that the Presidential Council plays in achieving political and social stability, by conducting the electoral process, and ending the transitional stages, in the quest to realize the aspirations of the Libyan people.

Al-Lafi reviewed the latest stages of the national reconciliation project, as an integrated project for drafting a (peaceful and social) charter agreed upon by all, as an entry point to resolving the political crisis in the country, stressing work on a mechanism to accelerate the formulation of a constitutional rule that provides a suitable environment for elections.

For his part, the Algerian ambassador reaffirmed his country's support for the efforts of the Libyan Presidential Council, stressing that the security and stability of Libya is part of the security and stability of Algeria, and that his country will spare no effort to achieve stability in Libya, by communicating with all Libyan and international political parties.
