The head of the Government of National Unity participates in the Libyan forum for women municipal council members.

Tripoli, December 10, 2022 (LANA) - The Head of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba," participated today, Saturday, in the office of the Ministry of Local Government, in the Libyan Forum for Women Municipal Council members, where he was received by the Minister of Local Government Badr al-Din al-Toumi, and the Undersecretaries of the Ministry for Municipal Affairs, Mustafa al-Turki. And for development affairs, Muhammad Al-Darsi.

Member of Al-Bayda Municipal Council, "Fawzia Al-Mismari", opened the forum with a speech in which she emphasized the importance of the role of women in political, economic and social life, and the role of women's municipal council members in supporting and empowering women in all fields.

In her speech, the Minister of State for Women's Affairs, Houria Tarmal, emphasized the role that women play in building the country, raising it, and supporting such meetings.

In a speech he delivered on the occasion, Al-Dabaiba welcomed the members of the municipal councils from all over Libya, adding that their presence reflects the cohesion of this country and the stand of Libyan women and men against its division.

Al-Dabaiba renewed his support for these forums for the elected leaders, especially for women, who must play their role in building the country and supporting its stability, and this will only be achieved through the constitution and elections. He paid tribute to Libyan women inside and outside the country, praising their political, economic and social role.
