President of the Presidential Council receives Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court

Tripoli, 6 November, 2022 (Lana) - President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, received Saturday evening, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, who began an official visit to Libya, the first for the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court since 2012.

According to the Presidential Media Office, the meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation between the Libyan judiciary, the International Criminal Court and the Office of the Prosecutor in human rights issues.

According to the office, the Public Prosecutor stressed that the situation in Libya is a priority for his office, and that deepening cooperation with national authorities and the pursuit of accountability is one of the basic principles of the Criminal Court, and affirmation of respect for international law, to achieve justice.
