Tripoli, 3 November 2022 (Lana) GNU Minister of Employment and Rehabilitation Ali Al-Abed issued a decision banning smoking in the workplace. The decision stipulates in its first article that smoking is prohibited in workplaces, and the employer must declare this in visible places to protect the workers and visitors, and to preserve property and the environment.
Article II of the decision stipulates the adoption of the procedural guide to the prohibition of smoking in the workplaces enclosed with this resolution, and employment inspectors and professional safety shall be responsible for monitoring the implementation of its provisions in cooperation with the competent authorities.
