Conclusion of the First International Conference on Use of Emerging Technology in the Practicing and Teaching of the Arabic Language.

 Tripoli, 31 October 2022 (Lana) The first international conference on use of emerging technology in the practice and teaching of the Arabic language, organized by the Libyan Open University under the slogan "Creative Ideas - Constructive Vision - Scientific Proposals", concluded at the Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli on Sunday.

A number of researchers and experts from scientific centers and universities participated in the two-day conference, during which they presented a number of working papers on technical developments to promote the teaching of the language of "Iqraa" and identify the techniques of automatic speech recognition in Arabic and the Arabic letter.

The conference presented papers including light distinction of Arabic and printed letters and how to benefit from them for the disabled, the application of deep learning to identify handwritten Arabic words, the classification of Arabic text, and the contributions of ISESCO in the use of information technology to serve the Arabic language.

The conference issued a number of recommendations calling for strengthening cooperation, partnership and integration with specialized institutions concerned with Arabic language issues, and coordinating efforts to organize working visits between them. It also called for supporting initiatives, research and studies in the field of technology.
