(Al-Dabaiba) directs his government to regulate the treatment of oncology patients

Tripoli, October 30, 2022 (WAL) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, directed today, Sunday, the establishment of a special electronic system for oncology patients that contains patient data to facilitate the treatment process and follow up on the conditions and needs of patients.

This came during a meeting held by Dabaiba with the Minister of Health in charge Ramadan Abu Janah, the directors of the oncology centers, the head of the medical supply system, and the director of the National Center for Decision Support, to discuss the conditions of the oncology centers, determine their needs and identify the difficulties they face.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to develop radical solutions for the work of the centers, to provide organized services to patients, to dispense medicines according to the work of the system, and to supply oncology drugs according to a body that takes care of the centers, and to separate them from the Ministry of Health and the medical supply system.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the National Center for Decision Support to discuss the matter and submit a final proposal in this regard, stressing the need to pay attention to awareness and education in this aspect, which requires the intensification of all.

For his part, the designated Minister of Health confirmed that the establishment of a body specialized in oncology centers in terms of organizing and providing medicines, is a step that will help in organizing the file of oncology patients in the country.
