Rabat, October 30, 2022 (LANA) - The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General "Mohamed Al-Haddad" stressed the importance of strengthening and continuing joint cooperation between the countries of the initiative (5 + 5 - defense) in all fields, especially supporting efforts made to combat illegal immigration and human trade.

Al-Haddad, during his participation and his accompanying delegation in the fourteenth meeting of the chiefs of staff of the armies of the countries of the (5+5) defense initiative, which was held last Thursday, in the Moroccan city of Rabat - affirmed the support for the efforts of the Euro-Maghreb Center in research and strategic studies, and the emphasis On the importance of exchanging experiences in the fields of environment, climate change and dealing with crises and disasters.

According to the media center of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, a joint statement was issued at the conclusion of the meeting, in which the participants stressed the importance of strengthening security in the western Mediterranean region, and the importance of continuing to support the (5 + 5) defense initiative.
