Al Lafi receives French President's Special Envoy to Libya.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 30 October 2022 (Lana) Vice President of Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, on Sunday renewed the commitment of the Council to work on the file of national reconciliation to achieve stability in Libya and elections, according to a constitutional basis that satisfies all political parties.
Al-Lafi, who received the Special Envoy of the French President to Libya "Paul Soller and the Ambassador of France to Libya, Mustafa Al-Mahraj, said the decision of the United Nations Security Council to extend the work of the mission in Libya, reinvigorated political life in the Libya which faced a stalemate the past months.
Al-Lafi welcomed the Ambassador wishing him success in the task assigned to him in Libya, and conveyed through him the greetings of the Presidential Council and the Libyan people to President Macron, praising the Libyan-French relations at various levels, and French support for the political process.
For his part, the French envoy stressed importance of the national reconciliation project, and his country's desire to achieve stability in Libya, by reaching a political solution that contributes to the holding of elections, according to a constitutional rule.
