  New York, 23 October 2022 (Lana) The UN Security Council will hold an open briefing on Libya on Monday, October 24, 2022, followed by closed consultations and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, will brief the Council for the first time in this capacity.

Bathily began his work, more than a year after former envoy Ján Kubiš resigned in November 2021.
