Al-Hawij discusses with the German ambassador the return of German companies to work in Libya.

Tripoli, October 18, 2022 (LANA) - Minister of Economy and Trade "Mohamed Al-Hawij" discussed with German Ambassador "Michael Unmacht" aspects of trade and economic cooperation between the two sides.

This came during a meeting held today, Tuesday, at the Ministry's office in Tripoli, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Commercial Affairs, Suhail Boushiha.

The two sides also discussed the problems and obstacles facing the return of German companies to work in Libya.

Al-Hawij stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the relevant authorities to provide all facilities, overcome difficulties for German companies, and provide an appropriate work environment.

Al-Hawaij called for the necessity of resuming the work of the German embassy from its headquarters in Libya and facilitating the procedures for obtaining a visa for citizens.

For his part, the German ambassador affirmed his country's desire to support Libya politically and economically through the UN envoy to reach parliamentary and presidential elections, especially in the development of small and medium enterprises, which contributes to the development of the State of Libya.
