Canadian Ambassador stresses stability of Libya is fundamental to stability of the Mediterranean region.

  Tripoli, 12 October 2022 (Lana) Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al-Mangoush discussed on Tuesday, at the Ministry's office in Tripoli, with Canada's Ambassador to Libya Isabel Savard bilateral cooperation, and efforts of the Government of National Unity to promote stability and prevent any attempts to hinder efforts to hold elections.

The Canadian Ambassador extended an invitation to the Foreign Minister from her Canadian counterpart, Melanie Jolie, to participate in a virtual event for foreign ministers "to stand in solidarity with women's rights and renounce violence.

The Canadian Ambassador stressed that the stability of Libya is fundamental and important to the stability of the Mediterranean region.
