President receives in Dakar Prime Minister (Al Dabaiba) and his accompanying delegation.
Pulbished on:Dakar, 12 September 2022 (Lana) President of Senegal Macky Sall the Chairman of the African Union met on Monday morning, at the Presidential Palace in the Senegalese capital Dakar, the Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, and the accompanying ministerial delegation.
The Prime Minister's Communication Office said President Sall expressed his delight at the return of the Executive Secretariat of the SEN-SAD community to Tripoli, praising the efforts of the Government of National Unity to return to Africa, and activate a number of political and economic projects linking it to the continent.
During the meeting, which was attended by the members of the two delegations, the Senegalese president stressed that the African Union will be a key supporter of achieving the desire of the Libyan people to end the transitional stages and go to elections.
For his part, Al Dabaiba stressed that he would continue to liaise with all international parties to urge them to support the file of elections, which will not be complete without meeting the Chairman of the African Union and coordinating positions with him.
During this meeting, the results of the second session of the Libyan-Senegalese Committee were discussed, the need to complete and activate its results, and the formation of a preparatory committee from the two countries to coordinate by holding the meeting of the third session of the Committee to increase cooperation between the two countries.
