Tripoli - September 01, 2022 (LANA) - The head of the Audit Bureau, "Khaled Shakshak", called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to adhere to the regulations and laws regulating political and diplomatic work and to limit the issuance of dispatch decisions in excess of the staffing approved by the ministry.

This came during his meeting today, Thursday, at the Bureau headquarters, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, "Najla Al-Manqush", to review the Bureau's observations on the ministry's performance regarding the phenomenon of expansion in the issuance of dispatching decisions for diplomatic work and bypassing the staffing of embassies and diplomatic missions abroad.

Shakshak called for granting eligibility to employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the exclusion of other administrative units that are not competent to engage in political and diplomatic work in accordance with the legislation in force.

The meeting touched on some of the cases filed against the Libyan state abroad and the role of the ministry in the future in sparing the state the consequences of judicial rulings and the consequent additional financial burdens.
