Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs chairs security arrangements meeting for the capital Tripoli.

  Tripoli, 28 August 2022 (Lana) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Affairs, Major General Mahmoud Said, held a security meeting on Sunday that involved Director of the General Directorate of Central Support, Director of Tripoli Security Directorate, Assistant Director of the General Directorate of Security Operations and the Head of the Information and Security Follow-up Office.

 During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry's office, they reviewed the security situation in the capital Tripoli against the background of the clashes which took over the past two days. Security arrangements needed to secure the capital in accordance with a security plan to be developed in this regard were reviewed, to prevent any security breaches, and to intensify the work of patrols and security posts in the capital to secure the public and maintain vital facilities. They also reviewed the most important needs and capabilities required for the work of patrols and security posts to ensure that they carry out their tasks to the fullest.
