Undersecretary of Ministry of Economy for Economic Affairs meets with observers of the economy in the southern region.

    Tripoli, 21 August 2022 (Lana) The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade for Economic Affairs Saad Al-Henish held a meeting that involved Director of the Department of Internal Trade Mustafa Qaddara, the Head of the Inspection and Consumer Protection Department Khalifa Balao, the Controller of Economy and Eastern Trade Al Senusi Abu Hdeima, the Controller of Economy and Trade of Tjerhi Mohamed Ali, the Controller of Economy and Trade Ghat / Ashraf Al-Ansari, the Controller of Economy and Trade Shuwairef / Osama Sultan and the Head of syndicate of Bakers / Boukhrais Mohammed.

The meeting followed up on the procedures for the establishment of gas stations belonging to the Brega Oil Marketing Company in various parts of the southern region as well as the allocation of special stations to supply bakeries with diesel fuel in coordination with the bakers' syndicate.

The meeting also touched on the shortage of flour in southern Libya, identifying the level of services and establishing a mechanism to assess the local market, to ensure the flow of basic commodities.

The participants stressed need for directorates to monitor performance of their tasks, improve the quality of services in coordination with the relevant authorities and to stimulate investments in the sectors of trade, agriculture and industry in the southern region, in order to achieve economic diversification and development.
